Yes it can.  We do not have a parking lot.  The Interurban is a great alternative, they will pick you up in Saugatuck or Douglas for only $1 per person.  Call them at: 1-269-857-1418

We only allow service animals, a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability.  PLEASE NOTE, under the ADA, animals whose function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as a service animal.

The service animal must be house-trained and must be kept under control at all times while on board the Star of Saugatuck.  We may ask that a service or assistance animal be removed from the property if it is not house-trained, if it is acting out of control and no effective action is being taken to control it, or if it poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others.

The cruise time is approximately 90 minutes.

The cruise has a set route, which may change slightly due to conditions.  We start on the Kalamazoo River, enter into Lake Kalamazoo, head back down the Kalamazoo River, enter the cove or basin area, travel along the 2,500 feet of pier head and enter the majesty of Lake Michigan (lake conditions permitting).

Weather permitting, the boat will go out in Lake Michigan.  The boat can handle the waves, it’s the passengers that don’t always enjoy it.  It is always at the Captain’s discretion; your safety is important to us.

We have snacks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages available on the boat.  Outside food and beverages are prohibited.  This includes water and coffee.

We currently only accept cash on the boat.

Our public cruise tickets are non-refundable once purchased. Please be sure you have selected the correct date, the correct departure time and the correct number of tickets before completing your purchase. We do not compensate for no-shows or late arrivals.  Please allow extra time for parking. A refund will only be given in the case that Mother Nature keeps us from leaving the dock.  This would include high winds and/or lighting.  Otherwise, we will go rain or shine, hot or cold.

Absolutely. Our ship is fully enclosed and climate-controlled for your comfort. We sail rain or shine.  The Captain may adjust the route to best manage conditions during the tour.   Extreme high winds and/or lightning are the only conditions that will keep us from going out.

No refunds are given if you miss the boat.  We are in the Eastern Time Zone.  Please allow extra time for parking as it may be difficult to find a spot.  The boat leaves promptly at the scheduled time.

There is street parking only, we do NOT have a parking lot.  Please allow extra time as it can be time consuming to find a place to park.
